Step-by-Step Gib Clearance Calibration

  1. Isolate Electrical & Pneumatic Lines: Lock out and tag out (LOTO) all primary power and bleed residual air tanks.
  2. Clean and Degrease Guide Faces: Remove all sludge and metal debris from the four or six guideway faces.
  3. Insert Precision Feeler Gauges: Place leaf gauges between the ram body and gib face at both Top Dead Center (TDC) and Bottom Dead Center (BDC).
